The Department of Business Services is responsible for allocating and managing district resources in a manner that best serves the needs of students and employees.  The department supports this mission by administering employee benefits services, facilitating the district’s accounting system, maintaining facilities and fixed assets inventories, and managing other financial services. 

The department’s specific areas of responsibility include budget development and implementation, payroll, insurance and other benefits management, accounts payable maintenance, PEIMS financial reporting, asset monitoring, bonded indebtedness management, and bidding and procurement coordination.

The department continues to focus on increasing performance in each of these areas by operating in the most efficient manner possible while maintaining a superior rating on the School FIRST accountability instrument.
