The Director of Curriculum is responsible for integrating all of the instructional programs for the Levelland Independent School District. This department works diligently with district staff and the campuses to meet and extend the expectations established for the District in the areas of curriculum and instruction. This office also oversees the following areas: instructional management, school/organizational improvement, testing coordination, and state/federal accountability.

The number one priority of the District is to develop engaging curriculum and 21st Century classrooms that support students in grades pre-K through twelve and allow them to develop the skills needed for future successes. The focus is on providing an environment which respects each individual student’s learning style and is responsive to student needs in a timely manner. All staff, budgeting, and facility decisions are directed at supporting this priority.

Mrs. Heidi Blair, Director of Curriculum, has been with Levelland ISD for twenty-two years. Mrs. Blair taught in the classrooms of LISD for the first eighteen years. The eighteenth (part time teacher), nineteenth, and twentieth years she served as Math Coordinator for LISD. Following those two years she was the Elementary Supervisor for South Plains Educational Coop from 2005-2007. In the current school year, 2007-2008, Mrs. Blair is the Director of Curriculum. As a graduate of Levelland ISD it is especially meaningful for Mrs. Blair to have the privilege of serving this district’s students and the community where she was raised.

Levelland ISD is excited about the future, and we invite you to join with us as we engage students in becoming productive citizens in our society.
